Style:

Transformative Leadership

Marcella’s leadership style is transformative. Transformational leaders are generally energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate. Not only are these leaders concerned and involved in the process; they are also focused on helping every member of the group succeed as well. There are 4 pillars to this style. Here is what it means to you.

Individualized Consideration: Support and encouragement to foster open communication and build relationships so ideas can be shared back and forth. This will maximize problem solving between therapist, parent/caregiver and child.

Intellectual Stimulation: Encouragement to explore new ways of doing things, be creative and support new opportunities to learn. This will advance the learning for you and your child quickly.

Idealized Influence: Lead by example and be a positive role model. Childrearing is hard and the tasks I ask of you are many of the things I do or have done in the past during my parenting journey.

Inspirational Motivation: Articulate a clear vision with both short and long term goals that allow you and your child to dream big and experience the same passion and motivation for your goals.

Transform is supportive of all to be who you are as you are; inclusive of age, race, ethnicity, culture, body size, gender identification, sexual orientation, and disabilities. A continual growth mindset for learning to deepen our understandings of how the systemic, institutionalized, and specialized nature of our healthcare system has impacted our education and delivery of care and how these services can be received is a deep value to my believes.

Growth can only occur through feedback. Yours is very welcome and encouraged.
